ParkPlus Parkade

In response to customer requests, we have moved to a system in all our parkades that uses only red and green lights. Any stall marked by a green light will be available to our monthly contract parkers. Hourly parkers will continue to use green light stalls as usual.

 

How to Use ParkPlus

  • Park your vehicle and pay PRIOR to walking from parkade.
  • Pay machines are located along key pedestrian walkways.
  • At the ParkPlus pay machine enter your vehicle's license plate information and how long you wish to park for.
  • Simply follow the on-screen instructions. ParkPlus pay machines accept coins and credit cards.
  • Once you have paid for your parking you can request a printed receipt - although you do not need to return to your vehicle and display your receipt on your dashboard. The automated system knows you've paid to park in the parkade.
  • You can purchase additional time at any curbside pay machine - you must know your license plate number and the zone number of the parkade you are parked in.
  • Look for your parkade zone number on signs located throughout the parkade.

Pay by Cell Phone

  • A ParkPlus cell phone account is required. To set up your account, click here.
  • We encourage cell phone account holders who regularly park in CPA surface lots or parkades to maintain a sufficient account balance to pay for a 24-hour period. When you activate a parking session in a surface lot or parkade you automatically purchase time until the end of the current time period as well as the end of the next time period. If you do not have adequate funds in your account to cover the cost of your parking session, you will incur an additional minimum purchase charge when you activate a second parking session.

  • If you have a ParkPlus cell phone account, call 403.537.PARK (7275), note the parkade zone number and activate your session immediately after you park your vehicle.
  • Before you drive out of the parkade don't forget to call and end your parking session - so you only pay for the time you parked.

Attention: Current Monthly Access Card Holders

The ParkPlus Parkade program will be implemented in a staged process beginning in August 2010 with all CPA parking facilities transitioned to the new system by 2011.

Because the ParkPlus System uses license plate recognition, it is essential that we receive the following information from you:

  • Monthly Access Card Number (5 digit number located on the back of card)
  • License Plate Information

If you are an existing monthly contract holder and you need to add or change license plate information on short notice, email cpacontract@calgaryparking.com before noon on the day that you enter the parkade or surface lot with a different vehicle. Please include your card identification number and new license plate information in your email.
